Forklift Water Pump - The water pump is connected to the crankshaft of the engine. It is a simple centrifugal pump that is driven by a belt that is attached to the crankshaft. When the engine is running, the pump circulates fluid.
The water pump makes use of centrifugal force to send water to the outside as it rotates. This action causes fluid to be continuously drawn from the pump's center. The pump inlet is situated close to the center. This particular design enables fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically located so as to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it goes in the engine.
The fluid primarily flows throughout the cylinder head and engine block previous to going out of the pump. Then the fluid goes into the radiator before lastly coming back to the pump.
